Dr. Rajinder Singh completed his M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. from HPU Shimla, and has qualifiedUGC NET. His Ph.D. research topic was “Socio-Economic Condition of Chamba State during Colonial Rule 1860-1948”, and he was awarded JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) by the ICHR (Indian Council of Historical Research), New Delhi during his Ph.D. study. He has also completed a research project on “Gaddis of Bharmour: A Study on Socio-Economic Change” sponsored by ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research), New Delhi.
Balak Ram completed his M.A. in Economics from HPU in 2003. He joined GC Bharmour as an Assistant Professor in 2006, and has qualified UGC NET, and also holds a B.Ed. degree from HPU.
Dr. Sandeep Kumar
Dr. Sandeep Kumar completed his M.A./M.Sc. and M.Phil. in Geography from HPU Shimla. He also submitted his Ph.D. thesis entitled “Infrastructural Development in India, 1971-2011: A Spatial Analysis” in 2018.He has qualified UGC JRF, NET and SLET (H.P.), and joined GC Bharmour as an Assistant Professor in 2017. His research interests lie in the sphere of regional development and human geography, and his papers have been published in various books and journals, such as Transaction, Institute of Indian Geographers. He has presented his papers in several national and international conferences and holds memberships of various academic groups, such as the National Association of Geographers (NAGI), Transaction and Institute of Indian Geographers.
Dr. Lekh Raj Charak
Dr. Lekh Raj completed his M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Hindi from HPU Shimla with a specialization in folk literature. He began his teaching career at GSSS Chatrari in 1994, before joining college cadre in 1997 at GC Chamba. He has since served in several other colleges across Himachal, such as in Kullu, Una and Lanj. At present, he is serving as an Associate Professor at GC Bharmour since September 2019.
Prem Dass completed his M.Phil. in Political Science from HPU. He joined GC Bharmour as an Assistant Professor in 2018, and has qualified UGC NET twice and SET once. He also holds a B.Ed. degree from HPU. His research interests include modern Indian and western political thought, and Indian and global politics.
Ishan Marvel completed his B.A. and M.A. in English from Delhi University. Prior to joining HPU as an Assistant Professor in 2018, he served as a reporter for The Caravan magazine, and participated in a year-long rural development fellowship sponsored by SBI Foundation, whereby he designed and taught a foundational inter-disciplinary course called BASIC at a residential school for marginalized children in south Odisha. He is also the author of EXIT ONE—a collection of poetry, reportage and travel stories published in 2018.
Vijay Kumar has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce at GC Bharmour since 2018. He completed his B.Com and M.Com from HPU, and is presently pursuing his Ph.D. in marketing from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. He has qualified UGC NET and SET (H.P.), and has previously taught at PGDAV College, University of Delhi.
Lalit Sharma completed his B.Sc. in non-medical from HPU and M.Sc. in Pure Mathematics from PU. Prior to joining HPU as an Assistant Professor in 2018 at Bharmour, Chamba (HP), he served in various government and non-government colleges of Chandigarh from 2015 to 2018 as an Assistant Professor in Mathematics. He qualified UGC CSIR NET twice with AIR 27 and 47, and also qualified HP SET in 2017. He is interested inmodern algebra, topology and number theory (Pure Mathematics).
